The auto / Manual reset circuit breaker has thermal detection features that automatically trip when current overloading occurs and resets after a short period.
- If you have a 24v DC system, you cannot use a circuit breaker designed for a 12v DC system. the capacity won't handle the increased current, which can cause it to trip.
- An auto-reset circuit breaker has a connecting plate composed of two thermally sensitive metals. The plates will contract when it reaches a designated temperature, cutting off the current. It will restore the connection when the circuit breaker plates cool down but will continue tripping until the fault is corrected.
